Kissing this character: Unless your name is Rin Tohsaka, expect him to freak out. Hell, he might get embarrassed even if Rin herself kisses him.
Flirting with this character: You can try, but a lot of it is likely to go over his head. Also, he's taken.
Fighting with this character: While he won't seek a fight out, he also won't back down from one. I'm also comfortable writing fights, but I'd still like to hash things out first.

[If you walk into the Game Corner, you might find Shirou there, playing Voltorb Flip. He's got a large stack of coins going, which means he's doing good.

But then suddenly, the backpack by the chair begins to glow. Suddenly, it bursts open, revealing a newly-hatched Scyther.]

WHOA!

[Then a series of things happens. Shirou accidentally hits a panel on the game board, whcih turns out to be a Voltorb. So much for that round. But then the light directly over Shirou's head turns red.

Thus, Shirou has to deal with a rampaging Scyther. Gunning for him.

Somehow, somehow, he manages to keep the Game Corner from taking any damage.]

[Shirou looks like a complete and utter mess. His hair is disheveled, his clothes are ripped in several places, and he's got some gauze taped to his right cheek.]

So, did you know that the color red makes Scyther enraged? It's true.

[Beat.]

But, um. I'm kind of stuck with one now, and it started with all the moves it can learn, so I might as well evolve it. I think I'll have better luck if I just stay out of red lights.

[You might want to wear a hat, though, Shirou.]

Problem is, Scyther only evolves from trading. Is there anybody who'd help me evolve it? I can compensate you if you want.

[Those of you who visit the kitchen in the breeding center: you will find one red-haired boy laying on the ground, out cold. He's wearing an apron, and a pot of boiling water is sitting on the stove. He was pretty clearly cooking something at the time that whatever happened. Investigation will reveal that he's exhausted and dehydrated.]

[Today was the day. Shirou was going to the gym to challenge Erika after seeing Saber do the same a few days ago. He let Saber, Sakura, and Irisviel know before he left, so they could accompany him if they so pleased.

It didn't take long to have an audience with Erika. Seems the man could appreciate a gentle perfume. But once the battle started and Shirou sent out his Skarmory, he slipped into a zone. He was in this to win, and the music showed.

Shirou commanded his Skarmory excellently. He had spikes scattered all over the battlefield, maxed out its Speed, cycled through three different slashing moves based on the situation, and any time it took too much damage, had it roost and heal itself. Between the type advantage, Shirou's knowledge of a Skarmory's abilities, and the Skarmory's defense, he managed to win without losing a single Pokémon. But the fight itself was still plenty exciting.

But then, when the battle was over and Shirou had claimed his badge...]

Shirou!

Oh, Shirou!

[He was lost within a gaggle of girls.]

That was amazing! So skilled, and yet so elegant!

You MUST tell us how to be that good!

Please, please stay here and teach us!

Uh, I-I...I'm not so sure...! Hey! Come on!

[That last bit was directed at Erika, who responded...]

I must say, that would be delightful.

[Those of you in Azalea Town will have not seen Shirou -- or Rin -- all day. Come evening, you will find out why.]

To those who knew Rin Tohsaka: she disappeared again. She was sent back home.

I'm going to Blackthorn City to get the last badge in Johto. You can come with me, or I can buy you train passes so you can go to Saber's breeding center in Celadon City. I'll let you decide.

[Now that the weather has cleared up, Shirou is outside and laying down on the grass, near the pond on the northern edge of town. After thinking for a while, he decides to muse a bit.]

You know...I've never had a mother figure before. I don't remember my birth mother. I had a father figure and a big sister figure, but that was all I had growing up. I used to try to ignore this day when it came, because there was no point in observing it and there was no point in dwelling on it.

So to finally get one now...it's strange. It just feels different. I'm eighteen years old -- though I guess I'm still seventeen back home -- and now I have someone who I should have had all my life.

Well, better late than never, I guess.

Hey, I had an idea the other day, and the more I think about it, the more I like it. Let's go on a vacation! Spring has sprung, so we should celebrate with a beach trip. We can all go to Cianwood City -- the entire city's on the beach, and the weather should be nicer than the mainland.

Plus, it's a chance for everyone to spend time together! And in a couple cases, get to know each other better. Oh, and we could even take a day trip to the Safari Zone! What do you say?

Saber, Lancer, I'm going to be leaving Goldenrod City for a little while. I'm flying out to New Bark Town to pick up Tohsaka and Sakura, and we might not come back here. If either of them are trainers, we'll probably go to Violet City first, then Azalea Town, then back to Goldenrod. But don't worry, we'll be back as soon as we can.

...Oh, and Saber, would you like to come?

[Suddenly, something blots out the sun for a few seconds. Overhead is a Charizard, which appears to be circling around for a landing. Suddenly, it decides to descend, then slows down as it reaches the ground, landing a little heavily. Its trainer then slides off its back. He's here for two girls, and he will find them.]

Can I ask a favor of somebody? I know it's not even Valentine's Day yet, but I'd like to ask if I can borrow someone's kitchen for making White Day chocolate. One of the people who I think is making chocolate for me has a really big appetite, so I'm going to need a head start. I'm in Goldenrod City, so it has to be someone who's there.
